Sky Harbor Arrivals Between 11pm and 2am
Red-eye flights into Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) mostly land between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. — the hours when scheduled shuttles stop running, rideshare drivers log off, and surge pricing peaks. Airport Shuttle of Phoenix runs private, prearranged pickups at Sky Harbor every night. Based on our own completed-trip records, we have handled more than 2,250 late-night (11 p.m.-2:59 a.m.) airport pickups, most of them at Sky Harbor — roughly 1,770 at 11 p.m., 579 at midnight, 201 at 1 a.m., and 49 at 2 a.m. A flat reserved rate means no surge multiplier at midnight, no walking the curb hoping a driver accepts the ride, and no waiting for a scheduled shuttle that already stopped for the night.
How a late-night PHX pickup works
Book online before your flight and give us your flight number — we track the actual landing time, so a delayed red-eye moves your pickup automatically with no extra fee. For arrivals, your driver meets you at the Prearranged pickup area: Terminal 3 — across the crosswalk from Door 6 on the south side; Terminal 4 — across the crosswalk from Door 3, north side, first floor, at the "Prearranged Vehicles 3 NORTH" sign. We plan arrival pickups 30 minutes after a domestic landing or 45 minutes after an international one. Keep your phone on when you land — your driver will call or text from an unfamiliar number, and the PHX pickup zones are easier to find with a live driver on the phone than a parking-garage app pin at 1 a.m.
Flat fares from real late-night trips
Fares depend on your exact drop-off address, vehicle, and party size. As a guide from our completed late-night Sky Harbor trips, the typical fare runs about $94 (median), with most rides between $74 and $156 for private sedans and SUVs — roughly 32 door-to-door miles on the median trip. Round trips save 10% off each way.
Why reserve instead of gambling on an app at midnight?
App availability thins out after 10 p.m. in metro Phoenix, and airport-bound surge can double an ordinary fare. A reservation locks the price, the pickup window, and a driver who is already assigned to your flight — the ride exists whether or not the app does.
