Our Daily Schedule
What is your daily schedule?
We pick you up on your schedule 24/7. Our professional drivers are normally 5-10 minutes early at your home, or right on time at Sky Harbor. You get to pick the time we pick you up.
What is my pickup time at the airport?
We normally pick you up 30 minutes after your plane lands for domestic flights, or 45 mins after for international flights.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Pickup times automatically adjust to 30 minutes after you land if your flight is delayed for domestic flights, or 45 mins after you land for international flights.
What happens if my flight arrives early?
Call or send us a text if you want us to pick you up early, and we will let your driver know that you are ready to be picked up. Otherwise, we will pick you up at the scheduled time on your reservation.
How soon should I make a reservation?
Although there is no set rule that prevents you from booking a Phoenix to Surprise Shuttle last minute, it's a good idea to make your reservation as soon as possible to make sure a driver is available and prevent any delays. Heading there from Surprise? See our Youngtown shuttle service page for direct service.
How long does it take to go from Phoenix or Surprise?
Trips to and from Surprise in normal traffic are about 35 minutes versus about an hour and 15 minutes on the bus or a Surprise shuttle with a bunch of people. Rush hour in Phoenix will normally add 15-45 mins (30 mins on the average).
What time should I be picked up?
2 hours and 15 minutes before is normally enough time. PHX recommends you to be there 2 hours early to get through security and to your plane. Boarding usually starts 30 minutes before your plane takes off. However, one hour and thirty mins is normally enough time. So if the drive from Surprise to Phoenix takes about 35 mins, then 2 hours and 15 mins before your flight takes off is normally good.
Our Better Drivers
Who are your drivers?
Most of our shuttle drivers have been driving professionally with the public for more than 10 years. They have excellent people skills and are usually very knowledgeable about the area (what to do, best restaurants, history and attractions). Some of our drivers are also professional tour guides that go to the Grand Canyon, Surprise, Phoenix, and many other destinations.
We have high standards for our shuttle drivers including safety, reliability and customer service. They are very helpful with bags. They get the door for you. All drivers go through extensive background checks with Sky Harbor in order to pick up passengers.
We also train them by driving them through PHX, explaining all the rules, and showing them where to pick people up and drop people off.
Our Great Company

. We must produce at least 1600 words. Let's aim for about 1900-2000 words. Now, to craft the content. We need to include the public facts, rewrite them, and cite them. We'll incorporate citations inline: e.g., "According to distance-cities.com, the driving distance is about 11 miles." Or "MapQuest reports the trip takes roughly 40 minutes without traffic." We'll include both. We need to mention highways: US-60 (also known as Grand Avenue), Loop 303 (the Bob St. George Memorial Highway?), and I-10. The route from Phoenix to Surprise can be via I-10 west to US-60, then north. Actually, let's examine the geography:
Phoenix is central. Surprise lies to the northwest of Phoenix, about 11 miles away. The typical route: Take I-10 west toward Los Angeles, then take US-60 (Grand Avenue) north through Glendale, Peoria, then to Surprise. Alternatively, take Loop 303 north from I-10 in Glendale. Let's verify: Loop 303 runs north-south on the west side of the Phoenix metro, connecting I-10 in Glendale to US-60 near Surprise? Actually, Loop 303 (also known as the "Bob St. George Memorial Highway") runs from I-10 near Glendale, then north to US-60 near Surprise. So you could take I-10 west to Loop 303 north. We should include both route options. We need to include local landmarks: "State Farm Stadium (formerly University of Phoenix Stadium) in Glendale." "Gila River Arena." "Westgate Entertainment District." "McDowell Mountain Regional Park." "Lake Pleasant Regional Park." "Surprise Stadium." "Morrison Ranch." "Arizona Cardinals Headquarters." "Midwestern University." "Peoria's Historic Downtown." "Arizona's Cactus League."
We need to include public transit: Valley Metro bus routes (e.g., Route 570) and the Valley Metro Rail (though the rail doesn't go to Surprise, but you could take the bus). Also mention "Dial-a-Ride" services for seniors. We need to mention rideshare: Uber, Lyft, etc. We need to talk about travel time: "40 minutes in ideal conditions, but can be longer during rush hour."
We need to talk about cost: "Estimated fuel cost $3.89 (based on average U.S. gas price $4.35 per gallon)." "Carbon footprint about 17.5 pounds of CO2."
We need to talk about environmental impact: "0.79 pounds of CO2 per mile."
We need to include a table for travel options:
| Option | Approx. Time | Estimated Cost | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Driving (Personal Car) | 40 min (non-stop) | $3.89 (fuel) + depreciation | Flexibility, door-to-door | Parking may be limited in Surprise |
| Shuttle Service | 45-60 min | ~$$ (varies) | Scheduled, no parking stress | Fixed departure times |
| Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) | 40-50 min | ~$$ (surge pricing possible) | Convenient, app-based | Price varies |
| Public Transit (Bus) | 60-80 min | $2 (one-way fare) | Low cost, eco-friendly | Longer travel time, less frequent |
We need to incorporate the table. Use "Phoenix to Surprise AZ: Distance, Travel Time, and Best Routes". That will be the first heading. Then a brief answer: The distance is about 11 miles, travel time approx 40 minutes by car under normal conditions, and there are multiple routes. Then include the table for travel options. We need to avoid repeating the same facts too often, but we need to incorporate them. We also need to incorporate "Public FACTS you may use (rewrite in our words, cite source inline where it adds trust)" So we need to cite them inline. We'll rewrite them in our words and cite. We need to be careful not to include any invented facts. So everything we write must be based on the given data or widely known public facts (like known highways). For other info, we must be careful not to invent something like "Surprise has a population of X" because we don't have that data. So we should avoid specifics like population unless it's widely known and we can verify. Safer to avoid. We need to mention "Arizona's Cactus League" for baseball, "Surprise Stadium" is a known baseball spring training site for the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers. That is publicly known. "McDowell Mountain Regional Park" is a real park. "Lake Pleasant Regional Park" is real. "State Farm Stadium" is real. "Westgate Entertainment District" is real. We can mention "Midwestern University" which is in Glendale. We can mention "Peoria's Historic Downtown" which is known. We can mention "Arizona's scenic desert landscape" which is general. We must avoid "the best" superlatives unless we can substantiate. We'll avoid. We can mention "the route passes through the cities of Glendale and Peoria, which offer a variety of dining and shopping options."
We can mention "Valley Metro bus route 570 connects Phoenix and Surprise, with a travel time of about an hour."

If you're booking a round trip you automatically save 10% each way, so use discount code NONSTOP instead to receive a free upgrade to non-stop. What are the benefits of using our service? Door to door shuttle service is included on all our trips to Surprise. Usually trips are non-stop in a nicer vehicle. We pick you up at your home anytime 24/7. We normally take you straight home, which is very different from other shuttle companies that leave you at a bus stop and stop and wait at intermediate points for hours. We also don't pack you in with 8-54 people you don't know and stop everywhere. Does it cost anything to make changes to my reservation? You can always change the date and time of your reservation at no cost. If you don't know the exact address, you can enter the city for now to reserve it, and give us the full address later. If you don't know your flight number, you can estimate the time and update the flight number and time later via phone, email or text. Our Better VehiclesWhat type of vehicle will pick me up? We send an airport shuttle or SUV (4+ passengers) or a nice car (1-3 passengers) anytime and take you to or from any address in Arizona, not just Sky Harbor. Our vehicles are clean and newer. Most vehicles are luxury and full size. We have Mercedes Sprinters, Chrysler 300's, Lexus ES300 Hybrids, Lincoln MKZ's, and a variety of other vehicles to meet your needs. Our Pickup LocationsYour Surprise shuttle picks up where it says Prearranged. If you are in a wheelchair, do not allow your attendant to leave you anywhere except Prearranged. The signs are easy to see and they are always at the outer curb. Sometimes security will send people to the wrong place, so it's better to follow the directions below. PHX also won't allow drivers to walk more than 15 feet away from their vehicle or wait, so good communication is essential. Turn on your cell phone and take it off of airplane mode, so your driver can call or text you. If you don't recognize the number, it's probably your driver. Terminal 3 Prearranged is across the crosswalk from Door 6 and to the right, south side of the building. Terminal 4 Prearranged is across the crosswalk from Door 3, north side of the building, first floor. The sign says "Prearranged Vehicles 3 NORTH". To and From Any Address (One Way)What kind of transportation services do you offer? We offer a Phoenix to Surprise Shuttle, a Surprise Shuttle, and a Surprise to Phoenix Shuttle, and other types of Surprise transportation like black car and taxi. We customize our shuttle service to your needs by offering different options like shuttles, black car services, and taxi. We offer many types of vehicles, and different options to make your experience great. Things You Should KnowDoes it make sense to take an Uber or Lyft? Uber and Lyft drivers often cancel once they arrive at your house in Phoenix or Surprise, because the app doesn't tell them where they are going until they arrive at your home. Usually they don't want to drive that far and not get paid to drive back, or they are unavailable to work for that long. This may result in you missing your flight after 2-3 of them cancel in a row, and they charge you $5 each time for the cancellation. You then try to contact Uber or Lyft over the next week to get a refund, and they don't even have a phone number. Another thing to consider is that Uber and Lyft drivers are never interviewed, so you may get a depressed guy complaining about his life, a tiny car with no leg room or a creeper. Uber and Lyft also do not train their drivers and Sky Harbor is moderately confusing to most people, so they usually have no idea where to go. How reliable is the Greyhound bus or an Arizona shuttle with a lot of people? Other shuttle companies that do shared rides will try to pick you up an hour or two earlier, but they make no promises about when you will actually get to PHX. If you're on a tight schedule, the shared ride option with Arizona shuttle or the Greyhound is probably not a good idea. Extra stops and scheduling with other passengers can either make you too early or potentially late. Even with great drivers, passengers can be unpredictable and end up making everyone miss their flight.
