Sedona to Wickenburg Shuttle

Skip the 2 hour 40 minute drive across central Arizona with Airport Shuttle of Phoenix. Our private, door-to-door shuttle between Sedona and Wickenburg runs 24/7 in a clean late-model SUV, sedan or Mercedes Sprinter — no shared van, no airport detour, no waiting around for other riders to load. Flat rates start at $258 one way, with 10% off both directions when you book a round trip.

The route is 129 miles by road and takes about 2 hours 38 minutes in light traffic. We run south on Interstate 17 from Sedona, exit at the Carefree Highway (AZ-74) and head west across the high desert, then merge onto US-60 / US-93 north into Wickenburg. The drive passes Sunset Point, Black Canyon City and Lake Pleasant on the way down, and Vulture Peak as you come into Wickenburg — one of the prettier cross-state runs in Arizona, and a long one to do solo in a rental car.

Most of our Sedona pickups are in Uptown Sedona, West Sedona, the Chapel area or the Village of Oak Creek (VOC), but we pick up from anywhere with a street address — including L’Auberge, Enchantment, Amara, Sky Ranch Lodge, the Hilton Sedona Resort, vacation rentals along Oak Creek Canyon, and the Sedona Airport. In Wickenburg we drop off anywhere inside the city limits: historic downtown along Frontier Street, the Rancho de los Caballeros and Flying E guest ranches, the Hassayampa River Preserve, the Wickenburg Inn, Westerner Motel, La Quinta, or any private address out toward Yarnell, Aguila or Forepaugh.

Sedona to Wickenburg Route-Specific FAQ

What is the typical travel time between Sedona and Wickenburg?

Plan on 2 hours 35 to 2 hours 50 minutes door to door. Weekday mid-day runs are the fastest. Sunday afternoons and holiday weekends on I-17 southbound can add 20-40 minutes between Camp Verde and Anthem — we build that into our pickup time when we see it, and we monitor ADOT traffic cameras the morning of every trip.

What is the best route from Sedona to Wickenburg?

The fastest route is I-17 south, exit at Carefree Highway (AZ-74), west to US-60 / US-93, then north into Wickenburg. We avoid the Loop 101 / I-10 detour through Phoenix unless I-17 is closed for an incident, because cutting through the city adds 25-45 minutes in traffic.

Do you handle PHX Sky Harbor connections for Sedona ↔ Wickenburg passengers?

Yes. Many of our Sedona ↔ Wickenburg riders combine the trip with a same-day flight in or out of PHX. We can split the trip with an airport stop, hold luggage between legs for guests who want to spend a few hours in Phoenix, and coordinate driver hand-offs so a flight delay does not strand you on the Wickenburg end. Tell us the flight number when you book and we will track it.

How does the shuttle handle flight delays and weather?

We track every flight automatically and adjust pickup time without you having to call. Winter snow on I-17 between Flagstaff and Sedona is rare but it happens — if a closure is in effect we will reroute via SR-89A and 89 to Prescott Valley, then south on US-93, and let you know the new ETA. Summer monsoon storms across the Carefree Highway can slow traffic but rarely close it.

Are there any limitations on baggage size or quantity?

Standard runs comfortably handle 2 checked bags and 1 carry-on per passenger. If you have golf clubs, skis, an oversized cooler for a Wickenburg ranch stay, or more than 4 bags, mention it when you book and we will route a Sprinter or larger SUV instead of a sedan — same flat rate, just more cargo room.

Door-to-door service is included on every trip. Rides are normally non-stop in a clean, late-model vehicle. We pick you up at your hotel, vacation rental or home anytime 24/7 and take you straight to your Wickenburg destination — very different from large-van shuttles that drop you at a generic stop and force you to wait while they collect other riders. We never pack you in with 8-15 strangers and stop at intermediate points for hours.

Does it cost anything to change my reservation?

You can change the date and time at no cost. If you do not yet know the exact address on one end (common for ranch reservations being confirmed), enter the city to lock in the rate and give us the full address later by phone, email or text. Flight numbers and times can also be updated after booking — we will rebuild the pickup time around the new flight automatically.

Combining your Sedona ↔ Wickenburg trip with PHX Sky Harbor

Many travelers fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), continue to Sedona for red-rock country, and finish their Arizona trip at a Wickenburg guest ranch — or do it in the opposite order. We handle every leg as one reservation, including the airport pickup or drop-off at PHX. If your route includes a PHX leg, here is where the driver meets you at the airport:

Terminal 3 Prearranged is across the crosswalk from Door 6 and to the right, south side of the building.

Terminal 4 Prearranged is across the crosswalk from Door 3, north side of the building, first floor. The sign reads “Prearranged Vehicles 3 NORTH.”

If you are in a wheelchair, do not let your attendant leave you anywhere other than Prearranged — the curbside signs are easy to spot, always at the outer curb. PHX does not allow drivers to walk more than 15 feet from the vehicle or wait, so good cell communication matters: turn your phone off airplane mode after you land. If you do not recognize the number, it is probably your driver.
